Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept insurance?

No. Full payment is due when you schedule. I can give you an invoice that you can submit for reimbursement directly to your insurance provider. This isn't common, but ask your provider if nutritional counseling is something they reimburse for.

You can pay with a health savings account debit card.

Nutritional Therapy is a wise investment in your health. You can either invest in your health now, with dollars spent on nutrient dense foods, supplements, consultations and learning about how to take better care of yourself, or you can pay later with your health, time spent not feeling great, and depending on your insurance, many more dollars.

How do virtual consultations work?

Virtual consultations can happen from most computers and phones with an internet connection, a web cam, and a microphone (most desktops and laptops have built in cameras and microphones). Shortly after scheduling, you'll receive an e-mail with a link and all the info you need to know. Just before your consultation time, click the link and you'll enter the virtual waiting room. When it's time for your consultation, you'll be connected to my virtual office and we'll be able to hear and see each other.

How long will it take me to feel better and experience better health?

That depends. Many people experience noticeable improvements within 30 days. How long it takes depends on many factors including: where you are starting from, what you have been eating and for how long, how long you have been experiencing symptoms, what those symptoms are, what medications you take, missing organs, willingness to make changes, attitude, compliance, medical diagnoses, etc.

Do I have to take supplements?

No. Supplements are optional (and not included in the price of visits or packages). Sometimes supplements are the best option for specific purposes. If I believe that is true for you, I'll let you know your options, and you can choose. I always strive to find the best option for each person and lean more towards using foods than supplements. I never make recommendations for foods or supplements that I wouldn't use myself or recommend to loved ones.

Do you sell supplements?

Yes, but only to clients. I sell supplements from Biotics Research. They're a leader in the professional grade supplement industry. Their quality is excellent. Not all supplements are created equal. You need to be informed to make safe choices. Biotics is a brand I trust and use for myself and family. Occasionally I will use another professional quality supplement company if that seems like the best option for the individual.
